Wow, this is golden stuff! Thanks for experimenting, this was really helpful!

I would like to raise a similar question. Does +2atk/+1acc (the rest spent on HP and armor) training do more damage than an alternate +2atk/+1acc and +1atk/+2acc training?

For example, which of these two statlines would deal more damage?

100 ATK / 50 ACC

or

75 ATK / 75 ACC

Has anyone tried this yet?

I'll be kinda close to trying this out soon.. It will be with Commandos using Napalm Launcher though, (Testing to see how Accuracy/Damage effect weapons without Accuracy)

ok guyz..

i have now the screenshot...
and this will explains everything i have mentioned earlier.. :)

a_zpsu4igfayq.jpg

in this screenshot above..

2 Scouts are being compared..

1 (above) is trained by +3 Attack...

and the other one (below) are trained by +2 Accuracy / +2 Attack

they only have 1 training level gap..

but that does not affect the conclusion...

b_zpsv9gfcx1c.jpg

as you can see in the 2nd screenshot..

it shows the difference of their damages towards the same enemy..

this explains that their difference is almost doubled..

or lets say.. a big difference..

here is the full video..

oh by the way...

try to check again the 2nd screenshot..

did you notice something? :D

lets say:

a_zps8ztgdzbd.jpg

represents the center of the target

1-3 are the splash damages...

(assuming that the enemy in position 1-3 has the same ARMOR)

in this screenshot..

i have noticed that ...

the main damage (center) is subtracted by 25% (position 1), 50% (position 2), 75% (position 3) damage...

400 * .25 = 100 (position 1)

400 * .50 = 200 (position 2)

400 * .75 = 300 (position 3)

400 - 100 = 300 (actual damage in position 1)

400 - 200 = 200 (actual damage in position 2)

400 - 300 = 100 (actual damage in position 3)

and lastly...

try to check the 2nd screenshot (2nd image below)...

c_zpsnruqocbr.jpg

main damage is 1162...

and since the enemy target are all in position 1..

that means the main damage will only diminished by 25%

1162 * .25 = 290.5  (this will be subtracted from the main damage 1162)

1162 - 290 = 871

amazing!! .. isn't? :D

well...another FACTS has been Revealed :D

ok thats all for now..

:)

Have you tried using higher Accuracy than Damage yet? If 80/80 Accuracy/Damage compared to 0/125 is doubled, then would a higher Accuracy than Damage be even more? Interesting game mechanics...

Oh yeah, higher accuracy = more DMG. I had tested with Gunner/Commando Napalm Launcher. Each had same stats, then tried adding the +3 rage skills to one and +3 Laser sight to the other.. (Also had a 3rd Gunner in there with MUCH higher dmg and added +3 rage)

The Gunner with less Damage and higher Accuracy beat both Commandos, even the Commando with over 3x Damage.

Thank you! ...yes that makes sense. I had some similar observation when facing AI snipers.

Enemy Sniper:

200 accuracy

100 damage.

1 critical hit against my own Spy deals about 1400 damage. However, when the sniper is blinded by Flash grenade (-90 accuracy), the sniper only deals 200 damage on critical!

This knowledge will apply best for hybrid builds - we should put more importance on accuracy. For pure offense builds, i think the training build +2ACC/+2DMG is still the way to go.
